  • Cider Day

We enjoyed a Day with Friends. Saturday was filled with laughter and Apples! We made Fresh Cider with our Friend's old Fashioned Steam Engine! We spent from 9am to after 2 cutting apples and placing them in the press. All together we made 80 some gallon size Jugs of Cider! Each Family was able to take home 10 jugs! Very fun!

It was a cold day but the sun was out. We all brought crock pots of soup, rolls and cookies! Nice to go with the crisp day.

When we had arrived at the farm we fell in love with a new kitty! We named her Cider. She is a fun treat for the Family!

Here are some pics! Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! We are sooo blessed and God has provided so much for us all! Enjoy praising HIM for our many Blessings!

  • Harvest FUN!!!

This year Kayla and I were Mama and baby Kitty. She thought that was pretty fun!

We had a bunch of Alex's Friends over. We all went Trick Or Treat then it ended in Jack O Lattern Pizzas and pop. Of Course a sleep over!!! Call me crazy! A bunch of hyped up kids!!!

Over all we had a great day. However it started off with a bang!!! I got a call from the school nurse. This was about an hour after school started. They said they would need to CUT Kayla's hair!!!!! I said NO I will be down in 2 min! As I walk into the health room I can see a play comb tangled up in Kayla's hair. This comb was in GOOD! wrapped all the way up the left side of her head! Above the ear that is! That makes for a pretty short buch hair cut! I was NOT about to let that happen! I brought hair oil! A brush! And thank the LORD I had fake nails!!! Anyway after 35 min of trying and getting nothing out. I just started praying! Praying for wisdom!

Then.......a small voice said CUT THE COMB!!!! Mind you cutting a comb is NOT easy! We had to remove each brissel one at a time. It would be the only way to slide the hair off the stick!

How do we do that you ask!!!! YES! The School HUGE paper cutter! Very Dangerous! As the blade was less than 1/2 inch from her head!!!! Wac after tedious wack. 1 hour 15 min later we had her hair out without cutting it!!!!!! Yes! Victory! I was so sore and tense when this was over! Talk about nerve racking to have the faculty watching me as I almost hack into my childs head!!! Then in 2 second thanks to a tip from Sharie Spencer years ago the oil hair product got the tangle out!!!!!

Here are some pictures of the kids before school and in our evening events! Alex goes to school very early so we did not get a before school shot. And YES sadly in all the panic I do not have a picture of our dear Kayla and her hair issue!!! LOL!

                   ENJOY!!!!IMG_2412 IMG_2418 IMG_2416 IMG_2415 IMG_2417 IMG_2437 IMG_2436 IMG_2431 IMG_2446 IMG_2447 IMG_2421
